My Review
For something a little out of the ordinary, try this incredibly illustrated picture book biography of a mouse whose dream is to travel to the moon! Despite the incredulity of his rodent friends (who firmly believe that the moon is made of cheese), he faithfully studies and contrives and invents, despite discouragement and setbacks, until he finds a way to get to the there.
It's on the long side for a picture book, so is perfect for a staged read aloud or for children who are reading independently but appreciate lots of great illustrations to help the story along! For kids who love dreaming and inventing, this will be a hit.
Heads Up!
Torben Kuhlmann's produced other acclaimed picture books in a similar vein: 'Edison' and 'Einstein'.
