My Review

Only track down this book if you are prepared to look a little silly in the reading of it! Full of silly rhymes, ridiculous noises, and tongue twisting phrases, 'Mr Brown Can Moo' is a great read aloud for a dull moment, sure to leave everyone smiling! This is one of my favourite Dr. Seuss books, and one my children often handed to me with a twinkle in there eyes before I'd even started!

I am a huge Dr. Seuss fan - his combination of incredible yet unforced rhymes and stories that have great morals behind them but never feel heavy because they are soooo ridiculous is a winning combo in my book! If you are trying to encourage reading at home in the early years, or even teaching a child to read yourself, his books are a fantastic resource because he was such an expert at using short words and repetition to construct engaging stories. 'The Cat in The Hat' is an excellent example of this!

Heads Up!

If you like this book, 'Hop on Pop' was another Seuss favourite in our house!

Publisher Review

Moo moo! Hoo hoo! Cock-a-doodle-doo! Oh, the wonderful sounds Mr. Brown can do. Now see if you can do them too! Oh, the wonderful things Mr. Brown can do! He can go like a cow. He can go MOO MOO. This fabulous and fun book from the one and only Dr. Seuss is ideal for teaching young children all about noises! With his unique combination of hilarious stories, zany pictures and riotous rhymes, Dr. Seuss has been delighting young children and helping them learn to read for over fifty years. Creator of the wonderfully anarchic Cat in the Hat, and ranking among the UK’s top ten favourite children’s authors, Seuss is firmly established as a global best-seller, with over 600 million books sold worldwide.
