My Review
Demi's gorgeous and gilded illustrations of this atmospheric folktale definitely brighten up a lesson on how fast numbers grow when multiplied over and over! Brilliant for reading aloud, and a great book for getting kids predicting and using their maths skills to work out how the story might end!
Heads Up!
Demi has written and illustrated many picture books of myths and folktales from around the world - 'The Empty Pot' is another lovely one!
Publisher Review
A reward of one grain of rice doubles day by day into millions of grains of rice when a selfish raja is outwitted by a clever village girl.
