With charming and detailed illustrations, rhyming a plenty, and peep holes to engage little fingers, it's no wonder this book has been a favourite for generations of children. There is so much to look at in the pictures, with the added interest of its depiction of family life in the 1940s, so as children get older there is plenty to talk about and spot in the drawings, while for really little ones the repetition of 'Peepo!' on each page and the gentle rhythm of the story will keep them engaged. It's definitely one not to be missed.
