My Review
This is a brilliantly entertaining book for those new to Shakespeare - with a summary of every play, and interactive flaps and pop-ups on every page, it's packed full of fun and super engaging! The writers have put their own hilarious twist on many of the plot summaries (King Lear is summarised by the one liner, 'Families can drive you crazy', for example!). Those in search of a more literal and perhaps more reverent introduction might want to look elsewhere - but if what you're in search of is a less intense, fun and flippant, but every so accessible overview of all of Shakespeare's plays and a bit of his life story too, then this book is ideal. Sure to appeal to older KS2 children learning about Shakespeare for the first time!
Heads Up!
This is not available to buy brand new, but search around online and you'll find it secondhand.
