My Review

We used this book at home learning about Ancient Egypt, and it's a great resource for kids - packed full of information and detailed illustrations, it really drew them in! Zingy colours and comic book style images by Isabel Greenberg really make this book stand out from the crowd. The cover especially, with all it's gold lettering and accents, adds to the feeling for kids that this is book that contains a treasure story - as well as a treasure-trove of knowledge! It's big in size, too - perfect for children to pore over as a group.

Heads Up!

As with all books on Ancient Egypt, the gore and focus on death and Egyptian beliefs concerning the afterlife can be scary and unsettling for children. This book, despite being gorgeously produced, is no different in that respect!
