When my son was coming up to two, the paperback version of this book was his absolute favourite, and one that we read over, and over, and over again - he loved it so much that his birthday cake that year was in the shape of the digger from the front cover! Very simple, with bright illustrations reminiscent of the style of Eric Carle, the book just hits the spot for digger lovers. It's a fun story with repetition that ends with all the construction vehicles working together to build a playground - a nice 'teamwork' twist to the book too which gives it a little more depth than your average large machinery book!
